It’s not official until Saturday, but all the signs are here. It’s Spring!
Standing at the intersection of Willoughby Avenue and Washington Park, my first gaze is upon the incline leading to the Fort Greene Park visitor’s center, the path I will take. The second, is at the beautiful sight before me…..the earth is moving and bringing forth pointed, green things that less than a month ago were covered in white blankets. Along with longer days, running toddlers and the glare of the sun casting new visuals on laptop screens outside coffee shops everywhere, it is all a beautiful sight.
Making my way up the hill I also make a decision. It’s a great day to stroll through Clinton Hill & Fort Greene. I know, I should be writing. But today, I’m just looking, and there’s plenty to see.
Construction is going up and tops have come down.
