Look!

I’m an observer…..sometimes participating, other times not. As I continue to work on Plenty I become more and more observant of what surrounds us in Clinton Hill and Fort Greene.   I, like many others, am excited and intrigued by the old and new of this community.  But, I am also caught up in the small things, vignettes if you will, that surround us daily and often go unnoticed as we spin among the constant chatter of our cell phones, tweets and status updates. Over the next few weeks, as I continue to ready your book, I will share what catches my eye. Right now it’s Clinton Hill/Fort Greene in shades of black and white.

From fashion to architecture to signage, our colorful neighborhood is filled with black and white. I find it takes the edge off and allows the eyes a moment of rest.

As you stroll among the newly sprouted green of the season, take notice of the black and white.
