Clown classes at South Oxford Space aren’t the only good news in the neighborhood.
This summer Clinton Hill gets a new eatery, Clinton Park Café. Steve, the owner, kindly allowed me a sneak peak beyond the front door of 274 Hall Street, where he says, “everything is brand new except the phone number.” Beautiful! Soothing color and rich texture, along with flattering lighting and an overall modern appeal greet you at the door. Steve says he’s sure the previous customers will appreciate the upgrade. To honor the history of the building, a piece of the original, one hundred year-old tin ceiling has been framed and presented for all to see. In addition to standard diner fare you’ll be able to enjoy Panini sandwiches, sweet potato fries, and lattes. So when can you get in? Steve says he’s already received the major approvals from the city and is awaiting a couple more to officially open the doors, which he is hoping to do during the third week in July. Save me a seat!
