The plethora of happening restaurants, bars and coffee shops has turned Clinton Hill/ Fort Greene into a destination spot. But, for those who have lived here long, the recurring theme of community continued to pop up during my interviews for Plenty. Wonderful stories emerged regarding residents working together to help one another progress to the next level.
In this spirit, I’ve decided to shine some light on TL3C, a new, non-profit organization that has recently come to the neighborhood to “assess, evaluate, and mentor under served 16 to 25 year olds to achieve ‘life long goals’ in their personal, educational, and future career lives.”
TL3C works with clients individually and offers public lectures on such subjects as test strategies, communication skills, time and stress management and effective goal setting. The organization is currently looking to enlist local youth and register mentors to work with them. As stated on it’s website, the organizations “core success rests in the hearts of our neighbors in Fort Greene, Clinton Hill, Bedford-Stuyvesant etc., who mentor other members of our community to success.”
To register for participation, and learn more about the organization and its Board of Directors, visit TL3C's website.
