HALLOWEEN IN FORT GREENE + CLINTON HILL

COSTUMED DOGS
The 12th Annual Great PUPkin Dog Costume Contest
Fort Greene Park
Saturday, October 30, 12:00 pm Sharp.
Rain date: Sunday, October 31, same time.
Registration begins at 11:30 on the monument plaza, near the stairs.
The entry fee is a suggested donation of $5.00 per dog. PUPS uses all donations given at the PUPkin to buy refill bags for the dispensers in Fort Greene Park. The official Westminster Dog Show photographers, Wild Coyote Studios, will be there to take dog portraits (in or out of costume). The suggested donation for a portrait is $25 (normally $475). Wild Coyote Studios is donating all proceeds from donations to Fort Greene PUPS. The returning Emcee is Justine Keefe.  Judges include Tracy Klonowski, owner of Who's Your Doggy, and Mike Preis, owner of Chuck & Buddah's Pet Services.

This Fort Greene Park Conservancy festival features hay rides, pumpkin carving, face painting, games for the kids, stilt walkers, jugglers, a costume parade, pumpkins for all, a spooky (and silly) cemetery, live music, a DJ and a chance to pedal your own pumpkin smoothie on Habana Outpost's Human-Powered Bike Blender.


THEATRE ANTICS
A.R.T./NEW YORK’s 10th Annual Halloween Show

Free, no reservations required. Space is limited. No late seating.
This free show presented by The Alliance of Resident Theatres/New York (A.R.T./New York), for children of all ages and their adult guests, features Freestyle Repertory Theatre’s “Theatresports – Spooky Style.”  The show is a wild and unpredictable improvisation competition between two teams of quick-witted actors who challenge each other to create scenes on the spot. Audience participation is key and the children vote to determine the winners. During this event they will focus on the Halloween theme, taking suggestions from the audience that will help foster a spooky fun atmosphere.

All attendees are encouraged to come in costume. Halloween goodie bags will be given to attending children. A neighborhood costume parade of audience and performers will directly follow the show. For more information, contact Stephanie Bok at 718-398-3078

1st Annual Brooklyn Halloween Science Fair for the Mentally Deranged

Live theatrical production of ghouls and goblins begins at 6:45, with two additional performances at 7:30 and 8:15. The street will be completely shut down and live jazz band performances take place between shows.
