Producing & Procrastinating

Plenty is coming together nicely. The cover is in the making, the listings are being organized, and the memories are pouring forth to become interesting reading. However, I must admit there’s been a little cheating going on.

Clinton Hill and Fort Green are just too tempting (see this week's happenings at right).  So what have I been doing?  Watching Nelson George & Diane Paragas’s “A Walk Through Fort Greene,” enjoying some of the colorful comments on Brownstoner, The Real Fort Greene and The Local, reading Tweets by our local followers and status updates by our fans on Facebook, enjoying the hoopla over Chris Ofili’s purchase of Spike Lee’s former abode,  getting exhausted keeping up with new business openings, and advocacy……supermarket on Myrtle and the upgrade of Fort Greene Park Tennis courts……navigating snow, wishing I could attend most of the great local events, trying real hard to figure out how to juggle my schedule so that I may take full advantage of seven days of free yoga at the new YogaLocal studio inside the Toren, wondering what happened to Clinton Hill Blog; and, last, but certainly no least, working overtime just trying to get mail out now that floor issues have closed the local post office.  Guess it’s the result of tons of us standing in line for way too long.  I better get back to writing.
